Watch City Steampunk Walk
May 15, 2017
On Saturday, May 13, the Waltham Land Trust led a walk along the Charles River during the Watch City Steampunk Festival. We saw a Great blue heron being chased by red-winged black birds, goslings and their parents, painted turtles, and cormorants (adults are black and juveniles are mottled).
A great time was had by all.

Over 60 nature lovers of all ages came to Christ Church for a program with Rick Roth the Snake Man and the Cape Ann Vernal Pool Team . We were introduced to many snakes found in New England and the world. Members of the team walked through the audience with them so everyone could see up close and take photos. Afterwards, brave people who wanted to hold the legless reptiles were given that opportunity. Many thanks to the Waltham Cultural Council for supporting this event!
