On October 11, 2009 Diana Young, Waltham Land Trust Board member led a group of over 30 walkers along the trail where work was done in May 2009 by volunteers from the Waltham Land Trust, New England Mountain Bike Association, and Citizens for Lexington Conservation to create the trail and build two foot bridges! After walking this trail, the group went on to Stonehurst and a return through the Chester Brook woods. These trails will be part of the future Western Greenway loop trail.
