Learn about how to use your camera to photograph natural scenes.
The Waltham Land Trust is offering a free workshop for adults on how to use their camera! This two part series will focus on how to make the best use of your digital camera to capture natural scenes. Participants will learn how to take pictures more effectively with their own digital camera. Discussion will include how to improve photo quality, content and artistry. Amy Rothstein of Pond Productions will conduct this workshop series. The first session on Saturday, May 8 will cover topics on aperture, shutter speed, exposure, when to override the defaults and tips for editing, organizing and storing photos. With tips and instructions, participants will have a week to take pictures and try out their new skills. The second session on the following Saturday, May 15 will review the work done during the week where students can look together at photos, ask questions, and learn how to improve their techniques.
These sessions are limited to 12 participants so registration is required. Participants must be able to attend both sessions. Students will want to bring their cameras and manuals for this hands-on learning opportunity.
This workshop is supported in part by a grant from the Waltham Cultural Council, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
