Celebrate Earth Day with a walk along the Charles River!
Most of us have spent time along the Charles River, feeding the ducks, watching the turtles, and noticing a hawk in the tree. This time we will focus more on the trees and plants growing along the river and the critters that live in this habitat. You may be surprised by how many interesting things are waiting for you to discover.
Join us on April 22 as we explore this Waltham treasure. If you have a small notebook, you might want to bring it along to sketch our discoveries.
This walk is best for elementary school age children but all are welcome. All children need to be accompanied by adults for the entire walk.
Meet behind the Shaw’s Supermarket, 130 River Street, Waltham, next to the Mary Early Foot Bridge that goes over the Charles River.
This walk is free and open to the public.
